The proliferation of "fake news" on Facebook during the US presidential election has led to criticism of the social media platform (NPR, Buzzfeed). CEO Mark Zuckerberg has laid out plans to combat misinformation, including the possibility of posting warning labels on stories (Facebook, USA Today).
